CPA backs LPO trade summit

CPA backs LPO trade summit Leading LPO provider, CPA, is sponsoring a two-day legal outsourcing summit, to be held on 15 and 16 September at New York's Marriott East Side Hotel. Best Practices for Developing and Executing an Offshore Legal Outsourcing Strategy follows on from an inaugural event held in January, and promises to offer delegates a wealth of detail on LPO developments.

The conference will be an ideal forum for delegates to:

  • Capitalise on the growing opportunities of legal outsourcing
  • Gain first hand client knowledge on the business case for outsourcing legal work
  • Understand the latest industry trends and developments – including best practice for selecting LPO partners and issues connected with ethics and risk
  • Analyse a range of solutions for managing long-term offshore relationships

Staged in partnership with the American Conference Institute (ACI) and the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), the conference is designed for in-house counsel and law firms who are still weighing up the viability of offshore outsourcing – along with those who have already outsourced, but want to stay ahead of the curve – to make the most of their businesses.

Firms that are relatively new to the sector are being encouraged to attend. In an effort to make LPO understandable and attractive to as wide an audience as possible, the first day will begin with the seminar, Getting to Grips with Outsourcing: The A-Z of Enacting and Managing Offshore Legal Outsourcing. This will set out the fundamentals of the trade and outline its multiple benefits.

Speakers set to appear include CPA's executive vice-president, Chris Veator.
