| Kathy Broecker 2008 Committee Member, IUG Facilitator FoundationIP, and Speaker IP Operations Manager, Sun Microsystems, Inc. Kathy Broecker has been in the Intellectual Property law field for almost 25 years, and has been with Sun Microsystems since August 1997, and Manager of Operations of Sun's IP law group for 6 years. Kathy is a graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY, and a graduate of the Paralegal Program at Santa Clara University. |

Henry Bryans Senior Vice President Aon Professional Services Group Harry is a Senior Vice President of Aon Risk Services, Inc. of New York. He focuses on risk management issues for law firms. Harry was a partner in Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP for over twenty-five years and General Counsel of that firm for ten years. He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Harry is a frequent speaker on professional responsibility and risk management matters. |
| Brian Burn Division IP Counsel. C. R. Bard, Inc. Brian began his career as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent Office. He then practiced law at a large firm in Washington, D.C. for about five years. He has been the Division IP Counsel for two of C. R. Bard’s divisions since 2005. Brian received a B.S. in Chemistry from King College, and a J.D. from George Mason University. |

| Gisela Carlson Conference Committee Member and Speaker IP Administrator, United Technologies Corporation Gisela has been with United Technologies as an IP Administrator since 2004 where she manages the implementation of FoundationIP at their business units and outside counsel. She received her Patent Agent registration in 2000 and worked in the biotech field prior to joining United Technologies. Gisela graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BA/MS in Biology. |

Luanne Darbonne Director, Patent & Licensing Operations Intel Corporation Ms. Darbonne has been with Intel for 16 years with the majority of her tenure in Product Marketing. In 2003, she joined the newly appointed Chief Patent Counsel with the charter to develop an automated, efficient support infrastructure for Patent Prosecution. This entailed moving prosecution support in house and selecting and implementing business solutions for docketing, document management and e-billing. |
| Catherine Dempsey Manager Patent & Trademark Support Ropes & Gray, LLP Cathy has been the firm-wide Manager of Patent and Trademark Support at Ropes & Gray since 2006. She manages the day to day operations of the support staff and the services that staff provide to the firm's internal and external clients in the IP prosecution area. Cathy began her IP career in 1980 at Fish & Neave, an IP firm which merged with Ropes & Gray in 2005. Cathy worked in the litigation, trademark and patent departments at Fish & Neave and managed the Trademark Department for 21 years before taking on her new role with Ropes & Gray. |

| Cheryl Franke IP Paralegal Geron Corporation Cheryl is the paralegal for a three-attorney patent department at Geron, a company focused on stem cell research. In 2007, Cheryl began working for Geron and was immediately responsible for the implementation of FoundationIP. Over the course of the year, she was in charge of migrating all the data, coordinating training for the group, and implementing new docketing procedures. |

| Doug Hendricks Partner Morrison & Foerster, LLP Douglas L. Hendricks is a commercial litigator in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he is the head of the Trademark Practice Group. Mr. Hendricks also practices in the area of professional responsibility. He has advised both law firms and clients in disputes arising out of legal engagements, and has served as an arbitrator in fee dispute cases. He is the Chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Risk Management Committee and the firm’s associate general counsel. |

| Jennifer Jacobs Manager IP Administration Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP Jennifer originally joined Kilpatrick Stockton in 2003 as an IT Project Manager, working primarily with the Intellectual Property practice group. In late 2005, she moved into her current role in the IP Group with responsibility for creating and managing an administrative infrastructure and leveraging technology to support business goals, efficiency and quality gains. |

| Jennifer Leen Intellectual Property Systems Manager Cooley Godward Kronish LLP Jennifer is the firm wide IP Systems Manager in the Patent Counseling & Prosecution and Trademark, Copyright & Advertising practice groups and a member of the Cooley Godward Kronish Litigation department. She joined the Firm in 2004 and is resident in the San Francisco office. Ms. Leen specializes in the administration of domestic and foreign patent and trademark prosecution portfolios. She brings over thirteen years' experience in all areas of intellectual property prosecution to the firm. Prior to joining Cooley, Ms. Leen was the firm wide International Department Manager at Townsend and Townsend and Crew in San Francisco, California. |

Ian Loveless Partner Reddie & Grose Ian is one of the managing partners of Reddie & Grose and project managed the implementation of Inprotech at the firm resulting in a succesful launch of the core product in April 2005, addition of the Time & Billing module in April 2006 and, more recently, delivery of the Client Workbench module. Ian has a degree in Physics from Oxford University and is a qualified UK and European Patent Attorney and is chairman of the Inprotech European User Group. Ian’s approach to Inprotech is best described as people focussed, based on a firm belief that information technology exists to help people not to tell them what to do. |

Steven W. Lundberg Founding Shareholder Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner P.A. Steve is a registered patent attorney and a founding partner of Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner. His practice is focused on patent protection for software, medical and telecommunications technology, and related opinion and licensing matters. Steve received his B.S.E.E. in 1978 from the University of Minnesota, and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law (J.D., 1982). He has published and spoken widely on software and electronic patent protection, and is active in the Software Publishers Association and the Computer and Electronics Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is also co-editor of the treatise "Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice", published by BNA Books. |
| Dan Lynch IP Systems Administrator Research In Motion Dan Lynch has been with Research In Motion since 2005, and administers CPA Memotech for the patent team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Waterloo, and is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian. He lives in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and volunteers in the community as a Scout leader. |

| Elisabeth Nilsson Manager, Global Patent Database Activities, Thomson Licensing LLC Elisabeth has been working in Intellectual Property with patent management system and CPA Memotech for the past 12 years. As Patent Database manager, she migrated from the V16 client version to the V32 client version and at the same time merged with a US dedicated database. This year her team became global and she was relocated to Princeton, NJ to strengthen presence and support to the Patent Operations group. Elisabeth began her professional career as a translator. |

Jana Ottmar Manager of Legal Operations Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. Jana is the Manager of Legal Operations for SLW, an IP law firm based in Minneapolis. She has worked closely with FoundationIP and Intellevate Services for several years, playing a key role in the development and implementation of the FoundationIP software in its early stages as well as providing ongoing training and support for SLW employees and clients today. Jana began her career in IP with SLW in 1998 after earning her paralegal certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute. She also holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Oregon. Jana has two young boys who keep her busy in her spare time and when given the opportunity, she loves to travel. |

Teresa Ray Ms. Ray is currently the National Docketing Manager at Fulbright & Jaworski where she serves as operations liaison to the Best Practices Committee and was instrumental in forming the firm's current set of best practices in prosecution docketing. She travels nationwide speaking and training on risk management and compliance with best practices. Currently Ms. Ray is involved in efforts to redesign business processes for purposes of disaster and security planning. She sits on a number of committees in connection with intellectual property business processes. |
| George Romanik Intellectual Property Counsel Pratt & Whitney Legal Department George has been the Intellectual Property Counsel at Pratt & Whitney since 2004. Previously he was Intellectual Property Counsel at Hamilton Sundstrand and served in various IP roles at Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies Research Center, and United Technologies Corporation since joining UTC in 1990. George received his JD from University of Connecticut School of Law in 1990 and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1981. |

| Russ Slifer Chief Patent Counsel Micron Technology, Inc. Russ Slifer is responsible for strategic management of a large patent portfolio, including domestic and international patent prosecution. Prior to joining Micron he was a founding and managing shareholder of a Minneapolis based law firm specializing in IP law. Russ sits on the Board of Directors of the Intellectual Property Owners Association and has a J.D. from Northern Illinois University (cum laude) and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. |

| Joe Twarowski Assistant General Counsel IP Legal Group, Sun Microsystems Joe Twarowski has practiced Intellectual Property law for over 11 years, both in private practice and in-house, primarily focussed on patent prosecution. At Sun, Joe has supported the Software division as well as the Sun Microsystems Laboratories. Prior to Sun, Joe's patent experience included work in the mechanical, medical device, software, and electromechanical arts. |

| John Wagner Founding Partner Wagner Blecher LLP John Wagner has been in involved in patent law for nearly 20 years. He drafts high technology related patent applications, handles portfolio analysis, and deals with patent validity and infringement issues. Before entering the practice of law, John was a manufacturing engineer at Integrated Circuit Packaging Corp. in San Jose. He holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Arizona. |

Bill West Product Manager IP Systems The Dow Chemical Company Bill has worked with The Dow Chemical Company for 20 years. His entire career with the company has been within the intellectual property systems support group of the Legal Department. He began his career building small mainframe applications to support the needs of patent attorneys. Today he manages multiple systems (including CPA Memotech) that support Dow's global intellectual property group. Bill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in Computer Information Management and an Associates of Arts in Data Management from Davenport University. |
