Continued growth reported in outsourced intellectual property services; Intellevate expands its New Delhi office to 100,000 square feet

Minneapolis, MN (August 8, 2006) - Today legal process outsourcing firm Intellevate LLC, part of the CPA Group, announced it had signed an agreement to lease additional office space in New Delhi, India, increasing capacity to 100,000 square feet, which is set to double again over the next three years.
“Intellevate has grown by something like 800%, from a couple dozen employees two years ago to over two hundred today,” states Leon Steinberg, Intellevate CEO.
Industry forecasters agree that legal process outsourcing (LPO) will grow considerably over the next couple years as more law firms and corporations seek to improve quality, increase capacity, and reduce costs by outsourcing various legal support services to countries such as India. CPA and Intellevate are currently focusing on bringing the benefits of this business model to the IP market. To date, New Delhi has become the home of legal process outsourcing in India and U.S. based Intellevate has headquartered its Indian operations there since 2003.
Forrester Research projects that legal outsourcing will rise to $4 billion by 2015, creating 79,000 jobs in India alone. In all, they predict that 489,000 US lawyer jobs will move to lower cost countries by 2015 (up from 20,000 in 2005). According to Indian research firm Value Notes, the Indian legal off-shoring industry will grow ten-fold over the next four years to revenues of $600 million.
