The CPA Global conference, which is taking place at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, Florida, from 26-29 April, will feature talks by a host of experts on cutting-edge IP issues, showing the way ahead for the ideas economy.
The programme has been crafted with detailed input from an advisory group of 22 IP specialists, ensuring that the conference will enhance delegates' knowledge and provoke debate. Seminars planned for event are based around three main themes:
- Thought Leadership - Speakers drawn from across the IP landscape take on subjects such as increased collaboration between law firms and corporations, paperless working and data management.
- Business Solutions - High-level discussions offer insights into current and future industry trends, while the Solution Showcase demonstrates CPA Global's full range of IP management services and capabilities.
- Software - Best practice sessions look at how leading organisations have adopted new business processes and used software to streamline their workflow. Another resource, Software Lab, offers delegates one-on-one time with CPA Global support staff and consultants. Software users of varying competencies, from beginner to intermediate and advanced, can bring themselves up to speed in a series of comprehensive training sessions.
On 29 April, a Business Solutions discussion will take on one of the IP industry's hottest topics. In Outsourcing: Is It Right for You? Matthew J Booth Attorney at Law at Matthew J Booth & Associates PLLC and NuVasive vice president and chief patent consultant Jonathan Spangler will share their outsourcing experiences, providing details on what types of projects to outsource; when to outsource; how to leverage outsourcing in an unstable economy, and outsourcing do's and don'ts.
Several major corporations are preparing to field speakers at the conference, including Johnson & Johnson, Owens Corning, Schlumberger, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and sanofi-aventis U.S. Inc.
