Docketing
Intellevate’s virtual docketing department helps maintain an organisation’s IP docket and annuities, enabling them to take advantage of a broad and knowledgeable talent pool without the hiring, administrative, training, and turnover challenges associated with internal staff.
Intellevate provides a quality service by making use of docketing procedures that reduce errors to a minimum. Our docketing specialists become an extension of your team, and by integrating with your internal software, it’s easy for you to verify docketed dates for further quality assurance and tracking purposes.
You can forward your Patent and Trademark Office correspondence to us by email, fax, or mail as you receive them. Alternatively, you can use our P.O. box as your correspondence address and have the PTO send items directly to us. For greater efficiency, we can interact electronically with the USPTO and other Patent and Trademark Offices.
As we receive PTO correspondence, our staff docket the documents in your patent management system and upload the scanned images. We notify you by email that the item has been received. As response items are filed and the certificates are returned to us, we remove the corresponding items from the docket. If you have directed the PTO to send items directly to us, we will forward originals to you on a regular basis.
Intellevate’s docketing service includes processing, docketing and database update for all incoming PTO actions and correspondence. It also includes docket cross-off, postcard processing, email notification and initial due date reminder. Additional services include: activity creation/document upload (no docketing), additional reminders, phone call on final deadlines, reference entry, reference ordering, reference scanning, template creation/maintenance, forwarding of original documents, and scanning/copying.
Our proprietary processes and systems mean that US export control issues are also avoided.
