Senior Manager Profiles

Vivek Gupta (Senior Manager – Shared Patent Research Services) holds a Bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India. He has over three years of IP experience both in IP analytics and IP prosecution. His previous work experience includes leading teams for delivering patent applications to telecommunication and semiconductor clients of IPPRO Inc., a legal research firm in India. Vivek also worked for Evalueserve, a professional services firm in India, where he had worked on patent analytics and patent prosecution projects (in accordance with USPTO guidelines) in technology areas such as information technology, networking, semiconductor packaging, telecommunication, medical imaging systems and medical diagnostic systems.

Valentin Tudor (Vice President of US Search Operations) holds a Masters and PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to joining the firm he worked at the US Naval Academy as a Research Assistant Professor. Valentin specializes in heat transfer, thermodynamics, automotive, fluid mechanics, scientific instrumentation, applied energy, electro-hydrodynamics (EHD) and HVAC applications, as well as medical applications.

Haydn Evans (Vice President, IP Outsourcing) has worked in the IP industry for over 10 years and before joining CPA Global was employed as a Senior Analyst & Strategy Manager for GE Healthcare (formerly as part of Amersham Plc). At GE Haydn was responsible for managing the global patent search team and identifying and implementing tools and methodology to acquire and analyse patent information and was part of a team responsible for embedding a strategic IP culture within GE. Haydn was also responsible for a GE-wide project that looked at the design and implementation of structured landscaping processes to enable informed IP decisions within R&D projects and facilitate strategic business decisions throughout the GE organization. Prior to joining Amersham Haydn worked for an independent search firm (RWS) as a team leader for the chemical/biochemical division. He has a degree in Biochemistry from Nottingham University.
