This notice covers the privacy practices that CPA Global and its affiliates ("CPA Global" or "we") employ when providing product support, consulting or other software support services (the "services") to its customers ("you" or "your") via our JIRA Portal. Our JIRA Portal in this context also includes information shared via the associated Confluence product to which you are also provided access.

CPA Global established this privacy notice specifically for Inprotech customers with access to our JIRA Portal to outline the use of personal information which may be made available to us in the course of providing services to you. CPA Global will only use personal data on the basis of processing being necessary for the provision of the services and may access your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide services and for software issue resolution, including resolving bugs and other issues you have reported to CPA Global. Any copies of your firm’s data created for these purposes are only maintained for time periods relevant to those purposes.
  • For testing and applying new product or system versions, upgrades, software fixes; monitoring and testing system use and performance
  • Investigation of reported software faults, within the CPAGSS (CPA Global Software Solutions) product portfolio.
  • To comply with legal requirements to which CPA Global is subject

CPA Global may process your firm’s data, including any personal data, but does not control your collection or use. If you provide any personal data to CPA Global, you are responsible for providing any notices and/or obtaining any consents necessary for CPA Global to access, use, retain and transfer personal data as specified in this policy.

CPA Global uses JIRA, third party commercially downloadable software product licensed by Atlassian for the provision of the Portal. All data processed via our JIRA Portal is hosted by CPA Global and Atlassian have no direct control or access to your data. Please refer to Atlassian Customer Agreement and Privacy Policy for further details on Atlassian software. CPA Global grants access to JIRA for product support purposes to its customers. The Portal works as an open forum for customers to share their enquiries with CPA Global for resolution as well as with other customers (as a knowledge sharing tool) who may experience a similar issue with the software. As access to all data is open to all clients and due to potential sensitivity of the data shared, you are advised to only share information absolutely necessary for the resolution of your enquiry and do not make any details of commercially sensitive nature available to other users.

CPA Global may transfer and access your firm’s data globally as required for the purposes specified above. CPA Global is a global corporation and has developed global data security practices designed to ensure that your personal information is appropriately protected. Please note, that personal information may be transferred, accessed and stored globally as necessary in accordance with this privacy policy.  CPA Global complies with both the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce, please refer to CPA Global Privacy Shield Policy
