Simon Webster joined CPA Global in 2000, was appointed to the Executive Team in 2003, the Board in 2010 and to the role of Group CEO in 2015. He has a deep knowledge of and passion for the business, its customers and markets and the Intellectual Property industry as whole. Before joining CPA Global, Simon qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and worked in the UK financial services sector, successfully leading business change, delivering technology transformations and supporting M&A transactions. Simon is married with three children, enjoys skiing, golf and cheering on Wycombe Wanderers FC.
Group CFO & Chief Operating Officer
Paul Woolf has global responsibility for Finance, Legal, Commercial and the Regional Businesses in the US, EMEA, APAC and ANZ. Prior to joining CPA Global, he held the position of CFO at Mitie Group plc, and has broad leadership experience in both privately-owned and listed businesses, including previously acting as CEO at Virgin Active Health Clubs, CFO/COO at Birds Eye Iglo, CFO at The Automobile Association, and various finance and operational roles at Dell Computers. Paul is married with two children, loves anything outdoors, yoga, and bird watching.
CEO, Tech-enabled Services
Gordon is responsible for the Tech-enabled Services division at CPA Global, including Renewals & Recordals, Filing & Prosecution and Search & Analytics, enabled by technology, operations and commercial functions. Gordon brings a wealth of global leadership and operational management experience from a variety of industry sectors. Most recently he held executive roles in DHL and before that with business-critical global outsourcing services company Williams Lea. Having semi-retired from tennis and climbing, Gordon now enjoys running and in his free time you’ll find him in the outdoors.
CEO, Software & Data
David Cramer has global responsibility for the Software and Data division of CPA Global. Prior to CPA Global, David was President of BMC Software where he successfully turned around one business unit and then combined it with another to support the $8 billion sale of BMC's to KKR in 2019. Prior to joining BMC, David spent six years as VP of Products at CA Technologies for the Application Delivery and IT Infrastructure business units. Earlier in his career, David held senior leadership roles at AlterPoint, Motive, NetSolve and Nortel Networks. David received his MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BS from Georgia State University. David is married, has 3 children and enjoys playing soccer and golf.
Group Chief People and Brand Officer (CPBO)
Melanie Fitzpatrick leads the Global Strategy Growth team, including the Corporate Strategy, Marketing, People & Organisation, and Communications & Engagement teams. She oversees CPA Global’s corporate strategy, brand, ESG programme, reputation, people, culture and internal communications. She is personally focused on leadership development as well as diversity and inclusion. She has significant global experience, extensively in APAC, NA and EMEA, and specialises in M&A and building brands and talent across software, technology, outsourcing and services industries including the Allegis Group, Williams Lea Tag and the Sage Group plc. In her spare time Mel loves skiing, and spending time with her husband and son.
Group Chief Corporate Development Officer (CCDO)
Mark Best has responsibility for Corporate Development and our global M&A and partnership programme, which has included the merger with ipan/Delegate and the acquisitions of MDC, Olcott International, Filing Analytics, Markpro, Innography, Landon IP and Patrafee. Prior to joining CPA Global in 2013, Mark led strategy consulting engagements for McKinsey & Co. Earlier in his career, he was a private equity investor at The Carlyle Group, and an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Cazenove. While his days as an international athlete are well behind him, Mark continues to enjoy sport and also exploring new places.
